Tesla Brake Services

Complete friction-brake inspection and service.

Regenerative braking reduces some friction-brake use. Pads, rotors, calipers, hydraulic components and related hardware still need to be inspected and kept in working condition.

Brake Inspection

Check pad thickness, rotor condition, uneven wear, hardware and visible leaks. Findings guide the repair recommendation.

Brake Pads & Rotors

Replace worn or damaged friction components when inspection and measurements show service is needed. Parts are matched to the vehicle's brake package.

Caliper Cleaning & Service

Inspect pad movement, applicable sliding components, contact points and corrosion. Clean and lubricate appropriate parts using the procedure for the fitted brakes.

Brake Fluid

Assess fluid condition and the vehicle's maintenance requirements. Fluid replacement and bleeding are performed when appropriate.

Noise & Vibration Diagnosis

Investigate squealing, scraping, grinding or pulsation. Corrosion, worn friction parts and other wheel-end concerns can produce similar symptoms.

Brake & ABS Warnings

Assess warning messages and braking-system faults. Tell us the exact message and whether braking feel has changed before arranging a visit.

Common Tesla Brake Concerns

Noise, rust or a different pedal feel?

Tell us what changed and when it happens. A brake inspection helps distinguish surface rust from wear, sticking components or other faults.

Rotor Corrosion

Moisture and reduced friction-brake use can contribute to rust. The amount of corrosion and condition of the braking surfaces determine what service is needed.

Squeaking or Grinding

Noise can come from the pads, rotors or hardware. Persistent scraping or grinding deserves prompt assessment.

Brake Pulsation

Vibration during braking may involve rotor condition or other wheel, tire and suspension concerns. We diagnose before recommending parts.

If stopping ability is reduced, the pedal feels unsafe or there is a red brake warning, stop safely and contact us before driving further. Arrange towing when needed.

Regenerative Braking & Maintenance

Lower pad wear does not mean maintenance-free brakes.

Your Tesla's motors can slow the vehicle while returning energy to the battery. The friction brakes remain essential, even when their pads wear slowly.

Wet & Winter Conditions

Lower Mainland moisture and winter road salt can affect exposed brake surfaces and hardware. Inspection matters even when the pads have substantial material left.

Follow Your Model's Schedule

Maintenance depends on the year, model, brake package and operating conditions. We check the applicable guidance rather than applying one interval to every Tesla.

Model 3 Maintenance Example

Tesla's current Model 3 guidance lists a brake-fluid health check every four years, with replacement if needed, and caliper cleaning/lubrication annually or every 20,000 km where winter roads are salted. Read Tesla's guidance →

Tesla Brake FAQ

Questions before booking.

Why do Tesla rotors rust when the pads still have life?

Regenerative braking can reduce use of the friction brakes. Moisture can then leave surface rust even when the pads have substantial material remaining. Inspection determines whether corrosion is superficial or requires service.

Do you replace Tesla pads and rotors?

Yes. We inspect and service friction-brake components, including pads, rotors, calipers, hardware and brake fluid. The repair recommendation depends on inspection and your vehicle's fitted brake system.

Do all Tesla calipers use the same service procedure?

No. Brake designs vary by model, year and package. We use the appropriate inspection, cleaning and lubrication procedures for the components on the vehicle.

Is your workshop located in Langley?

Our workshop is in Surrey at #107 – 19415 56 Avenue, near the Langley border. This page is for Tesla drivers travelling from Langley; it is not a separate branch.

Can I book alignment or suspension work with brake service?

Yes. Let us know about tire wear, pulling, vibration or suspension noise when booking so we can arrange the appropriate assessment. View Tesla services →
