Common Sprinter diesel problems

What we investigate

DPF warning lights, soot buildup and failed regeneration

A DPF concern may involve short-trip operation, exhaust temperature sensors, pressure readings or another engine fault. We investigate the cause before discussing regeneration or repair options. Forced regeneration is not suitable for every condition.

DEF, AdBlue, SCR and NOx sensor problems

SCR system faults may involve DEF quality, fluid delivery, dosing hardware, NOx sensors or electrical faults. Diagnostic trouble codes are a starting point, not proof that a particular part has failed.

EGR, turbo, injector and reduced-power complaints

EGR issues, boost leaks and other diesel engine faults can contribute to drivability or emissions-system warnings. We assess related symptoms and testing results before recommending corrective work.

Sprinter diesel FAQ

Common questions

Can I keep driving with a Sprinter DPF warning?

It depends on the warning and underlying issue. Reduced power or countdown messages warrant prompt assessment; continuing to drive can make some problems worse.

Does a DEF warning always mean the DEF pump is bad?

No. SCR-related faults can arise from multiple sensors, delivery components, fluid quality or wiring. Testing is needed to determine the cause.

Do you remove or disable emissions equipment?

We focus on diagnosis and compliant repairs that retain the vehicle's emissions controls.

Is the shop actually in Surrey?

Yes. All work is performed at #107 – 19415 56 Avenue, Surrey, BC. We also welcome customers from nearby cities.
