Auto A/C Repair FAQ
1) How long does an A/C recharge take?
Most recharges take 45–90 minutes including vacuum, leak test, and recharge. If a leak is found, we’ll quote repairs first.
2) Do you handle R1234yf systems?
Yes. We service R134a and R1234yf with dedicated machines and oils to protect your system.
3) Why does my A/C get cold, then warm again?
Common causes include low refrigerant, a failing compressor clutch, faulty pressure switch, or icing from a stuck expansion valve. We test before replacing parts.
4) Can you find small, slow leaks?
Yes. We use nitrogen pressure testing and UV dye to pinpoint micro-leaks at condensers, crimped hoses, or evaporators.
5) Is recharge alone a fix?
A recharge restores performance, but if there’s a leak or failing component, cooling will fade again. We diagnose first to fix the root cause.
