Custom ECM/ECU Tuning Cloverdale
Custom ECM/ECU Tuning Cloverdale
Our performance engine builds and modifications often require tuning, and it is our goal to offer reliable and efficient dyno tuning services.
Why should a modified vehicle have a professional tune
A professional tune or some call a “calibration” involves adjusting various parameters, such as fuel injection timing, air/fuel ratios, and ignition timing.
To achieve the desired level of performance while maintaining reliability and drivability.
A professional tuner has the expertise and specialized tools to fine-tune a modified vehicle’s engine.
This can result in better power, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced wear and tear on the engine.
Additionally, a proper tune can help prevent costly engine damage and ensure that the vehicle meets emissions and other legal requirements.
What is a dyno?
A chassis dyno, short for chassis dynamometer, is a device used to measure the power output and performance of a vehicle’s engine. The dyno is essentially a set of rollers that the vehicle is driven onto, which are connected to a measuring device that records various metrics, such as horsepower, torque, and speed.
Chassis dynos are commonly used by automotive enthusiasts, mechanics, and race teams to tune and optimize engines for maximum performance. By measuring the power output of an engine at different RPMs and under various load conditions, it is possible to make adjustments to the engine’s components and settings to improve its performance.

TUNING after DPF/EGR Repair
IF YOU’VE EVER HAD A LIMP HOME CONDITION CAUSED BY A FAILED DPF OR HAVE EXPERIENCED YOUR TRUCK LOCKING YOU OUT FROM EVEN STARTING IT, YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY LEARNED WHAT THE DPF DOES AND THE KINDS OF ISSUES THAT THEY CAN HAVE.
IF YOU HAVEN’T YET HAD A PROBLEM AND WANT TO BE PREPARED, OR IF YOU’RE JUST NATURALLY CURIOUS LIKE ME, KEEP READING.
IF MY DPF FAILS, SHOULD I KEEP IT OR DELETE IT?
WELL, THAT DEPENDS. YOU ALWAYS HAVE TWO OPTIONS IF YOUR DPF FAILS: A DPF DELETE KIT, OR A NEW OEM DPF REPLACEMENT.
WE’LL CHECK OUT OPTION ONE FIRST. THIS WOULD APPLY IF YOU HAVE A TRUCK THAT IS ONLY USED OFF-ROAD, SUCH AS ON A TRACK OR A FARM, AS IT IS CURRENTLY AGAINST REGULATIONS TO OPERATE A VEHICLE MODIFIED LIKE THIS ON PUBLIC ROADS, AT LEAST IN THE U.S AND CANADA.
