If you drive a lifted truck, Jeep, SUV, overland rig, or off-road build, you already know that a standard alignment isn’t enough — you need a specialist mechanic near you who understands suspension geometry, altered ride height, aftermarket components, and proper custom alignment specs.
For over 40 years, Dale’s Auto Service has delivered unmatched accuracy, transparency, and customer care. Whether you daily drive your lifted truck or take it off-road every weekend, our team ensures your alignment is set up exactly for your style of driving.
Why Lifted Vehicles Need Specialized Alignment
Lifting a vehicle dramatically changes:
-
Caster angle
-
Camber
-
Toe
-
Steering axis inclination
-
Track width
-
Tire wear patterns
-
Drivability and straight-line stability
A regular alignment shop may set your vehicle to OEM specs — which do not apply once a lift kit, leveling kit, long-travel suspension, wider wheels, or oversized tires are installed.
Dale’s Auto Service uses advanced alignment equipment, industry-leading processes, and highly trained technicians to deliver perfect alignment geometry for lifted vehicles.

Lifted Vehicle Alignment Service FAQ
1. Do lifted vehicles need a special wheel alignment?
Yes. Lifted vehicles require custom alignment because OEM specs no longer apply after altering ride height or suspension geometry.
2. How often should I align my lifted truck or SUV?
We recommend every 6–12 months, or immediately after installing lift kits, steering upgrades, tires, or suspension components.
3. Can any mechanic align a lifted vehicle?
No. Lifted trucks require advanced equipment, additional knowledge, and custom spec development. Dale’s Auto Service specializes in lifted alignments.
4. Will a proper alignment reduce tire wear on oversized tires?
Absolutely. Correct toe, camber, and caster settings dramatically improve tire life on 33”–37”+ tires.
5. Do you align all makes & models?
Yes — we work on all domestic, import, and off-road vehicles including Ford, Ram, Toyota, Chevy, GMC, Jeep, Nissan, Lexus, and more.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
