Professional, Precision Alignment for Lifted Trucks & SUVs — Dale’s Auto Service

When you modify your suspension with a lift kit, larger tires, or off-road upgrades, a regular alignment simply isn’t enough. You need a technician who understands caster correction, adjustable arms, oversized tire geometry, track width changes, steering angles, and driveline impact.

At Dale’s Auto Service, Walnut Grove’s best auto repair & service shop, our alignment specialist Jeff has over 20+ years mastering complex suspension and lifted-vehicle geometry. We ensure your lifted truck or SUV drives straight, handles safely, and protects your investment.

Dale’s Auto Service — proudly known as the best auto service shop in the Lower Mainland, trusted since 1975.
We won’t steer you wrong!

Why Lifted Vehicles Need Specialized Wheel Alignment

Lift kits significantly alter factory suspension geometry. Our advanced Hunter alignment system and experience allow us to correct:

  • Caster angle changes caused by lift height

  • Toe & camber misalignment from oversized tire upgrades

  • Steering pull or drift after suspension modification

  • Bump steer & wandering from control arm angle changes

  • Uneven tire wear and reduced tire lifespan

  • Highway instability common on lifted trucks & SUVs

We provide lifted-vehicle alignment services for all makes & models, including:

  • Toyota Tacoma & 4Runner

  • Ford F-150 / F-250 / F-350

  • Chevrolet Silverado

  • RAM 1500 / 2500

  • Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator

  • GMC Sierra

  • Nissan Frontier & Titan

  • Subaru Crosstrek & Outback (lifted)

  • Custom off-road builds

Whether you run 2” lifts, 4” lifts, 6” lifts, long-travel kits, coilovers, or aftermarket upper control arms, we align it — properly.

Lifted Vehicle Alignment Service FAQ

1. Do lift kits require a special type of wheel alignment?

Yes. Lift kits change suspension geometry, so lifted vehicles require a custom alignment that accounts for caster changes, tire size, and steering angle correction.

2. How often should I align my lifted truck or SUV?

Every 6–12 months, or sooner if you off-road, install new suspension parts, or notice handling changes.

3. Can a regular mechanic align a lifted truck?

Most cannot. Lifted alignments require advanced knowledge, adjustable components, and experience with non-OEM suspension geometry — which is why owners choose Dale’s Auto Service.

4. Will a proper alignment fix wandering or drifting on the highway?

Yes. Wandering is usually caused by incorrect caster or improper lift-kit setup. Our specialist fixes this daily.

5. Can bigger tires cause alignment issues?

Absolutely. Wider, heavier tires increase stress on suspension angles and must be compensated for through precise alignment.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:

Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:

  • Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
  • Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
  • Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
  • Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
  • Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
  • The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
  • If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
  • We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection

Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.

Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.

Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
