Why Lifted Vehicles Require Special Alignment
Lifting a vehicle significantly alters suspension angles, steering geometry, and tire wear patterns. This can cause:
-
Pulling or wandering
-
Uneven or rapid tire wear
-
Poor highway stability
-
Bump steer
-
Reduced handling and braking control
-
Excess steering input or wheel-centering issues
Our team uses advanced Hunter alignment technology, custom specs, and real-world experience to ensure your lifted truck performs safely, smoothly, and predictably.

Lifted Vehicle Alignment Service FAQ
1. Do lifted vehicles need special wheel alignment?
Yes. Lifts change suspension geometry, so standard alignment specs won’t work. A lifted vehicle requires a specialist who understands modified setups.
2. How often should I align a lifted truck or SUV?
We recommend every 12 months, or immediately after installing new tires, suspension parts, or lift components.
3. Will a lifted alignment help reduce tire wear?
Absolutely. Correct caster, camber, and toe prevent premature wear and improve vehicle handling.
4. Can you align both levelled and fully lifted vehicles?
Yes—our alignment specialist handles everything from mild leveling kits to extreme lifts and oversized tires.
5. Do you work on all makes and models?
Yes. We align all makes and models, including domestic, import, 4×4, off-road and custom builds.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
