Why Sprinter Vans Require Precision Alignment
Sprinter vans are heavier, taller, and operate under more load stress than passenger vehicles. Incorrect alignment affects:
-
Tire wear (uneven or rapid wear)
-
Steering pull or drift
-
Fuel economy
-
Safety and stability
-
Driver fatigue on long routes
Dale’s Auto Service uses commercial-grade alignment systems calibrated for long-wheelbase and high-roof Sprinter platforms. We align your van to factory OEM specifications or custom specs depending on suspension upgrades, lift kits, camper builds, or heavy-duty load use.

Sprinter Alignment FAQ
1. How often should I align my Sprinter van?
Every 20,000–30,000 km, or sooner if you notice drifting, uneven tire wear, or suspension repair.
2. Do lifted or converted Sprinter camper vans need special alignment specs?
Yes. We offer custom alignment specs for lifted, loaded, or RV-converted Sprinters.
3. Can misalignment damage my tires?
Absolutely—Sprinter tires are expensive, and misalignment causes premature wear. Alignment protects your investment.
4. How long does a Sprinter van alignment take?
Typically 1.0–1.5 hours, depending on condition and suspension adjustments.
5. Do you service commercial fleets?
Yes. We specialize in fleet Sprinter maintenance with priority scheduling and billing options.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
