RAM TRUCK SHOCK & STRUT REPLACEMENT
RAM Truck Shock & Strut Replacement in Surrey
Shock, strut and suspension service for RAM 1500,
2500 and 3500 trucks — including stock, levelled,
lifted, towing, hauling and modified applications.

Light-duty and heavy-duty applications.
OE-style and performance shock upgrades.
Suspension matched to modified setups.
Finish suspension repairs with proper alignment.
Worn shocks affect more than ride comfort.
They can also affect tire contact, vehicle control,
braking stability and how your RAM behaves while towing or hauling.
RAM SHOCK & STRUT DIAGNOSIS
Signs your RAM may need shocks or suspension service.
Shock and suspension wear often develops gradually,
so drivers may adapt to a poor ride without realizing
how much handling has changed.
Excessive Bouncing
Continued body movement after bumps can indicate
worn or weakened dampers.
Nose Dive Under Braking
Excessive front-end dive can point to worn shocks
or other suspension concerns.
Poor Highway Stability
A floating or unsettled feeling can become more noticeable
at highway speeds or while towing.
Uneven Tire Wear
Poor suspension control can contribute to irregular
tire wear or cupping.
Shock Leakage
Visible oil leakage or damaged shock bodies
may indicate replacement is required.
Clunking or Suspension Noise
Shock mounts, bushings and other suspension parts
can create noise when worn.
RAM SUSPENSION SERVICE
Shock, strut and suspension replacement options.
Front Shocks
Inspection and replacement of worn front dampers
for stock and modified RAM trucks.
Rear Shocks
Replacement of worn rear shocks affecting
ride quality and rear-axle control.
Strut Assemblies
Complete strut or coil-over assembly service
where applicable.
Shock Mounts & Bushings
Inspect upper and lower mounts,
bushings and attaching hardware.
Bilstein Upgrades
Bilstein shock options for drivers looking
for improved control, towing stability or suspension upgrades.
Wheel Alignment
Alignment after suspension repair when the work
or vehicle setup affects suspension geometry.
BILSTEIN SHOCK OPTIONS
Upgrade ride control without turning your RAM into a harsh truck.
Bilstein shocks are a common upgrade for RAM owners who want
improved body control, better highway stability or a damper
matched more closely to towing, hauling or modified suspension use.
- Stock-height replacement shocks
- Levelled truck applications
- Lifted suspension applications
- Towing and hauling setups
- Heavy-duty daily drivers
- Off-road and overland builds
MATCH THE SHOCK TO THE TRUCK
The correct shock depends on more than the RAM model.
Lift height, spring configuration, load, towing use,
tire size and ride expectations all matter when selecting
a shock or strut.
We can inspect the current suspension and recommend
a replacement or upgrade that suits the actual truck.

TRUCK SETUP & SUSPENSION OPTIONS
Suspension control matters when the truck is carrying weight.
A RAM used for towing a trailer, carrying a camper or hauling
equipment can expose weak shocks much faster than an unloaded
commuter truck.
- Travel trailers
- Fifth-wheel trailers
- Slide-in campers
- Commercial payloads
- Tool and equipment loads
- Mountain driving
- Long-distance highway towing
BODY CONTROL
Better damping can improve how a loaded truck settles after bumps.
Shocks do not increase the truck's payload or towing rating,
but properly functioning dampers help control suspension movement
and can improve stability.
Springs, airbags, tires, steering and suspension condition
should also be considered on heavily loaded trucks.
Shock length and suspension travel matter after a lift.
Installing shocks intended for the wrong ride height can limit
suspension travel, reduce control or damage components.
- Leveling kits
- 1–2 inch lifts
- 2–4 inch lifts
- 4–6 inch lifts
- Aftermarket springs
- Control-arm upgrades
- Track-bar upgrades
- Oversized tires
ALIGNMENT AFTER SUSPENSION WORK
Ride-height changes can alter alignment geometry.
Leveling kits, lift components and some suspension repairs
can affect caster, camber or toe.
Dale's performs RAM truck alignment in-house so suspension
work and final alignment can be handled together.

Air-suspension problems are different from conventional shocks.
Applicable RAM 1500 air-suspension systems can develop
leaks, compressor issues, sensor faults or uneven ride height.
- Truck sitting low
- Uneven ride height
- Air-suspension warnings
- Compressor running excessively
- Cold-weather suspension concerns
- Air-spring leaks
AIR TO COIL CONVERSION
Some RAM owners choose a conventional spring conversion.
For applicable RAM 1500 trucks with repeated air-suspension
problems, an air-to-coil conversion may be an option.

RAM SHOCK & STRUT FAQ
Common RAM suspension questions.
How do I know if my RAM shocks are worn?
Excessive bouncing, poor highway stability, leaking shocks,
nose dive, unusual tire wear and reduced control over bumps
are common reasons to have the suspension inspected.
Can Dale's install Bilstein shocks on a RAM truck?
Yes. Bilstein shocks are available for many RAM applications,
including stock-height, levelled, lifted and towing-oriented setups.
The correct part depends on the truck's suspension configuration.
Do lifted RAM trucks need special shocks?
Usually the shock length and valving should match the modified
ride height and intended use. Incorrect shock length can restrict
suspension travel or reduce control.
Will new shocks increase my RAM's towing capacity?
No. Shocks help control suspension movement but do not increase
the manufacturer's payload or towing rating.
Should I get a wheel alignment after replacing shocks?
It depends on the suspension design and what components were disturbed.
Ride-height changes, strut replacement and other suspension work
may require an alignment check.
Can you service RAM air suspension?
Yes. Dale's can inspect applicable RAM air-suspension systems
for leaks, compressor concerns, ride-height problems and related faults.
RAM riding poorly or feeling unstable?
Book a suspension inspection or send us your RAM model,
year, tire size, lift height and how the truck is used.
