JDM Wheel Alignment FAQ
Do lowered JDM cars need a special wheel alignment?
Yes. Lowering changes suspension geometry (camber, toe, and sometimes caster). We set targets for your ride height and use case to prevent inner-edge tire wear and tramlining.
Can you align coilovers, camber plates, and adjustable arms?
Absolutely. We routinely align builds with coilovers, camber plates, multi-link arms, and angle kits—and we’ll recommend settings that balance grip, tire life, and drivability.
How often should I get a wheel alignment?
Every 12 months/20,000 km, after suspension work, after wheel/tire changes, or any time you notice pulling, off-center steering, or uneven wear.
Do you offer track, autocross, or drift alignment specs?
Yes. Tell us your goals and tire setup; we’ll provide a streetable performance spec or a dedicated event setup with clear notes so you can revert if needed.
How long does a JDM alignment take?
Most alignments take 60–90 minutes. Builds needing hardware changes or seized fasteners may take longer—we’ll confirm after inspection.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
