BMW Wheel Alignment FAQ
1) How often should I align my BMW?
Every 12 months or 12,000–20,000 km, and any time after suspension/steering work, new tires, or a major impact.
2) Do EVs need alignments as often as gas vehicles?
Yes—EVs are heavier and can wear tires faster if alignment is off. Check every 10,000–15,000 km or annually.
3) Can you set custom specs for track or stance?
Absolutely. We can align to OEM or performance specs (within safe tolerances) and provide a printout for records.
4) Will alignment fix my steering vibration?
It can help, but vibration often involves wheel balance, tires, or suspension. We’ll diagnose and advise the most cost-effective fix.
5) How long does a BMW alignment take?
Typically 60–90 minutes after inspection; add time for seized hardware or suspension adjustments.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
