Why JDM Owners Choose Dale’s (Best Mechanic Near You)

From daily-driven Civics to track-prepped WRXs, Silvias, Supras, Evos, BRZ/86s, Miatas, and more—JDM cars demand precision.

Our techs specialize in JDM wheel alignment and suspension geometry for both factory and performance specs. We use a modern 3D alignment system, precision turnplates, and torque-to-spec procedures for consistent results.

Brands we see most: Honda/Acura, Subaru, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti, Mazda, Mitsubishi.

What You Get With Our JDM Alignment Service

  • Pre-check & road test to confirm pull, drift, or steering-wheel off-center

  • Ride height & tire inspection (wear patterns, pressures, sizes, stagger)

  • Camber / Caster / Toe measured and adjusted (incl. rear where applicable)

  • Performance specs or OEM specs—your choice (street, autocross, track)

  • Printout before & after so you can see the exact changes

  • Hardware torque & safety check (arms, endlinks, tie rods, subframe)

  • Consultation for lowered cars (camber kits, arms, plates if needed)

Lowered, wide, or aggressive fitment? We’ll maximize tire life and handling without the “sawtooth” wear that kills expensive tires.

Lowered & Modified JDM? No Problem.

  • Coilovers / springs: We set alignment for real-world drivability and even wear

  • Aftermarket arms & camber plates: We’ll dial them in properly

  • Bump steer & roll center: Guidance on tie-rod/ball-joint corrections where needed

  • Stance vs. performance: We’ll target the balance you want

JDM Wheel Alignment FAQ

Do I need an alignment after lowering my JDM car?
Yes. Lowering changes camber and toe. A performance alignment restores stability, steering feel, and tire life.

Can you align very low cars with lips/splitters?
We work with lowered vehicles daily. Let us know ride height and aero—our team will guide safe ramping and setup.

Will you use factory specs or custom performance specs?
Your call. We can target OEM for even tire wear, or custom specs for sharper turn-in, stability, or track days.

How long does a JDM wheel alignment take?
Typically 60–120 minutes, depending on ride height, adjustability, and hardware access.

Do you provide a before/after alignment printout?
Absolutely. You’ll receive documented camber, caster, and toe readings before and after adjustments.

Ready for a Wheel Alignment?

Pre-Alignment Checklist:

Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:

  • Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
  • Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
  • Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
  • Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
  • Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
  • The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
  • If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
  • We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection

Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.

Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.

Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
