TESLA Wheel Alignment FAQ
How often should I get my Tesla’s wheel alignment checked?
We recommend a wheel alignment check once a year or every 20,000 km, and after any suspension work or curb/pothole impacts.
Can a misaligned Tesla affect battery range?
Yes, poor alignment increases tire resistance and can reduce your Tesla’s range, especially at highway speeds.
Do you align lowered or performance Teslas?
Absolutely! We offer performance alignments with custom specs for lowered Teslas and those with upgraded suspensions.
Is your equipment safe for Tesla’s aluminum components?
Yes, we use Tesla-safe, non-marring equipment that won’t damage your wheels, sensors, or aluminum suspension arms.
Do I need a Tesla service center for alignments?
No. Dale’s Auto Service in Surrey is equipped to handle full Tesla alignments at a more affordable price—with no compromise on quality.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
