Volkswagen Alignment FAQ
How much does a Volkswagen wheel alignment cost?
Most Volkswagen wheel alignments range from $115 to $145, depending on the model and alignment type (2-wheel or 4-wheel). We’ll give you an upfront quote—no surprises.
How long does an alignment take?
Typically, it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. If there are suspension issues or additional adjustments needed, it may take slightly longer.
How often should I align my VW’s wheels?
We recommend every 12,000 km or once a year—whichever comes first. Alignments are also essential after hitting curbs or potholes.
Can bad alignment damage my Volkswagen?
Yes. Misalignment causes uneven tire wear, poor handling, and added stress on your suspension system—leading to costly repairs if ignored.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
