VW Alignment FAQ
1) How often should I align my Volkswagen?
At least every 12–18 months or 10,000–15,000 km, and any time you install suspension parts, hit a pothole/curb, notice uneven tire wear, or the wheel goes off-center.
2) Do I need an alignment after new tires or coilovers?
Yes. New tires deserve a correct alignment to protect the warranty and tread life. Coilovers/springs change geometry—an alignment is mandatory.
3) Can you do custom specs for my GTI/Golf R?
Absolutely. We’ll discuss how you drive (street/track/stance) and set camber, caster, and toe accordingly for the balance you want.
4) What if my VW needs suspension repair to align properly?
We perform complete auto service & repair—tie-rods, control-arm bushings, ball joints, bearings, and more—so your alignment holds and tires last.
5) How long does a VW alignment take?
Most standard alignments take about an hour once on the rack; add time if components are seized or if we’re setting custom performance specs.

Pre-Alignment Checklist:
Before bringing your car in for alignment, please ensure the following:
- Confirm that the steering and suspension are in safe, proper working condition.
- Check that the front tie rods are not seized, as we do not use heat to free them up.
- Inspect ball joints, bushings, and tie rods for signs of wear or play.
- Ensure bearings are not loose or worn, and there are no leaking struts or shocks.
- Verify the steering box for minor play, and ensure tires are safe for driving.
- The vehicle must be capable of running under its own power.
- If the vehicle underwent restoration, ensure all work has been double-checked by the facility/person responsible. If unsure, book a steering/suspension re-torque before the alignment appointment.
- We will proceed with the alignment once the vehicle passes our inspection
Please note, should any components fail inspection, there will be a charge for the inspection as our technicians invest time in this process. We aim to avoid wasting your time and money by addressing these issues upfront.
Please request a steering and suspension inspection if you do not know the condition of your vehicle.
Thorough inspections and prioritize safety to prevent any future issues.
