Yes. Many modern all-terrain tires are designed for trucks and SUVs that spend most of their time on pavement while still needing additional traction and durability away from paved roads.
Are all-terrain tires noisier than highway tires?
Usually somewhat, although modern A/T tire designs can be considerably quieter than aggressive mud-terrain tires.
Can I install larger all-terrain tires on my truck?
Often, but tire diameter, width, wheel offset, suspension height and available clearance should all be checked before ordering.
Should I get an alignment with new A/T tires?
Correct alignment helps protect new tires from irregular wear and is especially important on levelled, lifted or modified trucks.
Are all-terrain tires suitable for winter?
Some all-terrain tires carry the three-peak mountain snowflake rating, but winter performance varies greatly by model. Dedicated winter tires remain the stronger choice when maximum cold-weather traction is the priority.
All-terrain or mud-terrain tires?
All-terrain tires usually provide the better balance for regular highway use. Mud-terrain tires favour more aggressive off-road traction.
